Plastic texture and expanded after soaking still having a thick and plastic texture, look and feel. Real sea moss should and feel jelly-like and slimy. The sea moss I received from Iset by Nature was gummy, thick and had a plastic feel. Extremely disappointed and a complete waste of money.
